“A lot of losses in a row, it wasn’t working, a change needed to be made”
Drew Brees hopeful about the Saints’ future despite the team’s current struggles

The New Orleans Saints are having a really disappointing season, but legendary quarterback Drew Brees is optimistic the team will eventually turn things around.

The New Orleans Saints haven’t had much success since Drew Brees retired. The future Hall of Famer last played in the 2020 season, and that’s also the last time the Saints made the playoffs. Since then, it has been nothing but mediocre seasons in New Orleans.

The 2024 season has been the worst year yet, in the post-Brees era. The Saints had a seven-game losing streak, and fired their head coach in the middle of the season. The team has since gone 3-1 after Darren Rizzi took over as interim head coach, and they’ll probably finish the year with another average record. However, that’s not the standard in New Orleans.

During Brees’ time as the starting quarterback for the Saints, making the playoffs was the bare minimum; the team started every season with Super Bowl aspirations. Currently, New Orleans is far from that. As a result, there isn’t much optimism amongst fans about the future. However, Brees is hopeful about the direction of the franchise.

The former quarterback recently sat down with Fox News, and he shared some thoughts about the team. He explained that the firing of Dennis Allen was necessary since the team was struggling how it was, but he still believes New Orleans is a very functional organization, with good veteran leadership, that can get things turned around.

“An organization that knows what it means to put the best product on the field, have a great culture, be able to overcome adversity. Unfortunately, they were on a trend where they had a lot of losses in a row, it wasn’t working, a change needed to be made. Those things happen, but if you ask the leadership on the team, they’re all trending in the right direction right now if they can stay healthy.” – Drew Brees on the Saints (via Fox News)

Drew Brees believes the Saints can get things turned around

While fans have the utmost respect for Brees, they aren’t trying to hear this message, even if he’s the messenger. Things have drastically changed since he retired, and success is no longer the norm in New Orleans. Of course Brees is going to speak highly of the organization, but fans are ready to see change.

From the front office, to the coaching staff, to the roster, Saints fans want a rebuild, so the franchise can once again experience the kind of success that was commonplace when Drew Brees was playing.

GREAT: ALVIN KAMARA and THREE  Outstanding New Orleans Saints players with the best Hall of Fame chances…….

The Pro Football Hall of Fame is a place for players whose legacy is cemented as an all-time great. The New Orleans Saints have multiple players on their current roster who have a real possibility of making it to Canton after they retire. Here are four current Saints with the best chance to make the Hall of Fame.

Demario Davis

Demario Davis has made himself known as one of the premier linebackers ever since joining the league. In his illustrious 13-year career, he has been named First-Team All-Pro once, and Second-Team All-Pro four times. He is also a two-time pro bowler.

Davis has tallied 1,347 career tackles which ranks him third among all active players. He has also amassed 106 tackles for loss and 43.5 sacks. These numbers alone should qualify Davis for the Hall of Fame, however, they aren’t even the most impressive thing about his game. Demario Davis has an uncanny ability to stay healthy as he has played in 206 career games, only missing two total.

Demario Davis’ longevity combined with his elite play make him an obvious future candidate for the Hall of Fame.

Cameron Jordan

Cameron Jordan has been consistently one of the top pass rushers in the league after being selected by New Orleans in 2011. Jordan is an eight-time Pro Bowl nominee, a two-time Second-Team All-Pro, and a one-time First-Team All-Pro player.

Part of the reason Jordan’s been so productive is his ability to stay on the field. In his 14-year career, he has only missed one career game. Due to Jordan’s ability to be healthy, he has racked up some impressive stats. Since 2011, he has 118.5 sacks (second among active players), 700 tackles, and 154 tackles for loss (fourth among active players).

Cameron Jordan is regarded as a one of the top edge rushers in his generation, so he should be put in the Hall of Fame and solidified as one of the all time greats.

Alvin Kamara

Alvin Kamara has taken the NFL by storm after entering the league in 2017. He was the 2017 Offensive Rookie of the Year, is a five-time Pro Bowl nominee, and a two-time All-Pro Second-Team selection. In addition to this, Kamara holds the Saints all-time leading rushing yards and touchdowns records.

In just seven years of play, Kamara has accounted for 6,767 rushing yards, 4,704 receiving yards, and 84 total touchdowns. He has had over 1,000 scrimmage yards in every season he’s been in the league. Just to put the cherry on top, Kamara is tied for the most touchdowns ever scored in a game, with six. It’s rare for a running back to have so much success so quickly yet Kamara has done that.

Although Alvin Kamara is the youngest person on this list, he is more than deserving of making the Hall of Fame. He’s already known as a Saints great but should be known as a league great, being inducted into the Hall of Fame.

Tyrann Mathieu

The New Orleans native has been one of the best ball-hawks in the league for 12 seasons. He has three All-Pro First-Team appearances, is a three-time Pro-Bowl player, and is a Super Bowl Champion.

Tyrann Mathieu is tied for the most interceptions by active players with 36. He has been terrorizing quarterbacks ever since being drafted in 2013. Besides just being a ball-hawk, Mathieu has made plays in the run game, achieving 45 tackles for loss in his career.

Mathieu is always highlighted on opposing teams scouting reports as someone who they shouldn’t target. His accomplishments and elite play make him a strong contender for the Hall of Fame.

“I can’t thank him enough for that…”
Derek Carr Offers Classy Gesture to Saints QB Jake Haener Before………………

New Orleans Saints quarterback Jake Haener is set to make his first NFL start this coming Sunday in place of Derek Carr.

On Friday, Haener told the media that Carr has been nothing but supportive this week in the quarterback room.

“Derek has been awesome this week,” he explained. “Super supportive. He’s been watching film with me every morning, just giving his two cents on what the (Washington) Commanders do and how they present a challenge.”

Haener also shared that Carr—who’s recovering from both a fractured left hand and a concussion suffered Sunday against the New York Giants—gave his family suite tickets for Sunday’s game so they can watch his first career start.

“He gave us 10 tickets to his box which, obviously I can’t thank him enough for that. It’s a really unique opportunity and something that doesn’t happen a lot. So really grateful for that,” Haener said.

The 25-year-old was drafted by the Saints in the fourth round of the 2023 NFL draft. He’s the third quarterback to start a game for New Orleans this season behind Carr and rookie Spencer Rattler—who started three games in place of Carr back in October.

Haener first chance under center is slated for Sunday at New Orleans’ Caesars Superdome. They’ll take on the Commanders at 1 p.m. EST.

New Orleans Saints to sign 2025 draft Prospect who is better than Alvin Kamara

New Orleans Saints to sign 2025 draft Prospect who is better than Alvin Kamara

Bleacher Report’s Brent Sobleski believes the New Orleans Saints are a perfect fit for Dylan Sampson, a popular prospect in the 2025 NFL draft. The last time the Saints drafted a running back from Tennessee, you could say it worked out alright. Sampson even wears the same No. 6 jersey that Alvin Kamara used with the Volunteers.

Right now the running back room includes Kamara, Kendre Miller and Jamaal Williams. Jordan Mims and Xazavian Valladay are also in the mix but they’ll both be free agents in the spring.

And Kamara is the only one guaranteed a spot next year. Williams being a cap casualty is a strong possibility when looking at his usage over the past two years. Miller’s injury history makes it hard to trust him even if he remains healthy to close the season. There will be a feeling in the back of the mind that’s hard to shake. Miller has the potential to be Kamara’s running mate, but if he suffers another injury, that would leave the Saints out to dry.

Seeing that Kamara could be on his final contract, investing in a running mate is a logical choice. Georgia coach Kirby Smart called Sampson “an elite runner.” He went on to directly compare Sampson to Kamara, saying, “And I know where he’s from, in Louisiana, they do nothing but have great backs from there. He reminds me so much of his run skill set of Kamara, of Alvin. He’s very smooth and elusive.”

Smart compared Sampson to Kamara in terms of elusiveness and smoothness. Worst-case, Sampson could work with Kamara and Miller as part of a three-headed rushing attack.
