“6-Foot-8 Sharpshooter Kam Williams Commits to Kentucky: He Chooses Kentucky Over Florida, Baylor, Louisville, Texas, and Arkansas – Welcome to Big Blue Nation, Kam Williams! “

The Kentucky Wildcats have landed a game-changing addition to their roster for the 2025-26 season with the commitment of Kam Williams, a standout freshman from Tulane. Williams, a versatile 6-foot-8 sharpshooter, announced his decision just ahead of Kentucky’s Sweet 16 matchup against Tennessee in the NCAA Tournament.

Known for his elite three-point shooting, Williams averaged 9.3 points per game while hitting 41% from beyond the arc during his freshman season with the Green Wave. His size, shooting touch, and adaptability make him one of the most coveted players in the transfer portal this year.

“Not many people get opportunities like this, so I wanted to pull the trigger fast,” Williams told ESPN’s Jonathan Givony. “More people are waiting to fill that spot, so I had to take advantage.”

Williams had no shortage of suitors, receiving interest from top programs such as Florida, Baylor, Louisville, Texas, and Arkansas. However, it was Kentucky’s storied basketball tradition and player development success that won him over.

Kentucky: A Proven Path to the NBA

Williams cited Kentucky’s track record of preparing players for the next level as a significant factor in his decision. “My dream is to play in the NBA,” Williams said. “Kentucky’s culture and background show that they care about their players, especially developing them into the best players they can be.”

Under head coach Mark Pope, Kentucky has continued its legacy of recruiting and nurturing elite talent. Williams will join a promising roster that includes incoming recruits Jasper Johnson, Malachi Moreno, and Acaden Lewis. Returning players like Otega Oweh and Brandon Garrison could further strengthen Kentucky’s lineup next season.

A Sharpshooter with Potential

At 6-foot-8, Williams provides a unique blend of size and shooting ability, making him a potential matchup nightmare for opponents. His ability to stretch the floor will be a valuable asset for the Wildcats, complementing their inside presence and dynamic guard play.

“Kam is a player who fits perfectly into what we’re building here at Kentucky,” said Pope. “His versatility and work ethic will make an immediate impact on our team.”

Wildcats’ Future Shaping Up

With Williams’ commitment, Kentucky’s offseason recruiting efforts are off to a strong start. As Pope and his staff continue to explore the transfer portal, fans are optimistic about the Wildcats’ potential for a deep NCAA Tournament run in 2026.

BREAKING: Cameron Carr Commits to Kentucky Basketball, Choosing the Wildcats Over Tennessee

In a significant development for college basketball, Cameron Carr, a highly sought-after recruit, has officially committed to play for the Kentucky Wildcats, opting for Lexington over the University of Tennessee. This decision marks a pivotal moment in Carr’s promising career as he joins one of the most prestigious programs in the nation.

Carr, a standout player known for his impressive skill set and athleticism, is considered one of the top prospects in his recruiting class. His choice to attend Kentucky signals not only his personal ambitions but also represents a significant win for Wildcats head coach John Calipari, who has cultivated a reputation for developing talent that transitions successfully to the NBA.

Throughout his recruitment, Carr attracted attention from numerous programs, with both Kentucky and Tennessee being at the forefront of his decision. The process garnered interest from basketball enthusiasts and analysts alike, as expectations of his potential impact in college and beyond were hotly debated among fans and experts.

One of the key factors in Carr’s decision appears to be Kentucky’s longstanding history of success in college basketball. The Wildcats have consistently been a powerhouse in the NCAA, boasting a record of excellence that includes multiple national championships and a tradition of producing players who go on to achieve notable success in the professional ranks. For Carr, the opportunity to wear the blue and white and play under the guidance of Coach Calipari—who has a proven track record in nurturing talent—was likely a significant influence in his final choice.

In addition, Carr’s style of play aligns well with the fast-paced, high-pressure environment that Kentucky is known for. His versatility on the court as both a shooter and a playmaker makes him an ideal fit for the Wildcats’ offensive strategies. Coaches and analysts expect that with proper guidance and development, Carr could quickly become a key contributor to the team, potentially making an immediate impact during his freshman year.

Carr had a standout high school career, earning accolades and recognition for his performance on the court. His ability to score both inside and outside, coupled with his defensive skills, has made him a valuable asset for any team. As he transitions to the collegiate level, the expectation will be that he continues to refine his skills and adapt to the higher level of competition that the NCAA presents.

In comments following his commitment, Carr expressed excitement about joining the Wildcats and his eagerness to start this new chapter of his life. He shared gratitude for the support he received from family, coaches, and teammates throughout his recruitment journey. “It’s been a long process, but I believe Kentucky is the right fit for me. I look forward to contributing to this storied program and competing at the highest level,” he said.

The Wildcats have demonstrated an ability to attract top-tier talent, cementing their status as a destination for elite recruits. Carr’s commitment is not just a personal victory but a reinforcement of Kentucky’s continued dominance in recruiting cycles.

Meanwhile, Tennessee will undoubtedly feel the sting of losing Carr, especially considering their efforts to recruit him. The Vols’ coaching staff had high hopes of adding him to their roster, and they will now need to pivot their focus to other recruits in order to bolster their program for the upcoming seasons.

As the basketball season approaches, anticipation grows regarding Carr’s future at Kentucky. Fans and analysts alike will be closely monitoring his development and contributions on the court. With a strong supporting cast surrounding him and the expert tutelage of Coach Calipari, there are high expectations for Carr to thrive in the SEC and help propel the Wildcats toward another successful season.

Carr’s commitment to Kentucky not only shapes his future but also has significant implications for both the Wildcats and their competitors in the NCAA landscape. As the world of college basketball continues to evolve, Carr’s decision represents a noteworthy moment in the ongoing saga of recruitment and player development, with the potential to impact his team and the broader college basketball community for years to come.

Luka Doncic Issues Strong Message to Lakers After Beating Rockets

Luka Doncic and the Los Angeles Lakers pulled off a hard-fought win over the Houston Rockets on Monday night by a final score of 104-98.

With the victory, the Lakers improved to 46-29 on the season. Los Angeles has just seven regular season games remaining and the No. 3 seed in the Western Conference is very much within reach.

After their win over the Rockets, the Lakers are just one game behind the Denver Nuggets from that seed. They are also just two games ahead of the No. 5 seed Memphis Grizzlies.

In the win, Los Angeles saw the entire team come together. No single player powered the Lakers to the win over Houston.

Doncic, Dorian Finney-Smith, and Gabe Vincent all tied for the team lead in scoring with 20 points apiece. LeBron James chipped in 16 points, while Austin Reaves scored 12.

Despite neither James nor Doncic putting up huge scoring numbers, the 26-year-old phenom loved what he saw. He issued a strong message to the team after the win.

“We gotta play like this every game,” Doncic said in his post-game meeting with the media.

James also spoke out about the team’s main goal with the regular season winding down quickly.

“Our mission is to lock in a playoff spot and not have to play in the play-in so we understand what’s at stake,” he said.

Los Angeles will have another chance to take a step towards its goal on Thursday night with a tough matchup at home against Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors.

CONFIRMED: Boston Celtics’ Proposed Master Plan to Land Duke Star Cooper Flagg

The Boston Celtics are not going to land the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NBA draft. Assuming he enters the draft this year, the No. 1 pick is where Duke Blue Devils star Cooper Flagg will be taken.

Despite not being able to land him with the No. 1 pick, a plan has been proposed that would see Flagg land with the Celtics.

No, it would not be next season. It would not happen for another four years.

Bill Simmons of The Ringer has suggested a potential master plan that would bring Flagg to Boston. It’s a long-term play, but one that would bring him to the Celtics at the start of his prime.

“I’m counting on Kelly Flagg, who’s a massive, gigantic Celtics fan,” Simmons said. “The Celtics a team that she loves, very very much. We have never seen somebody come into the NBA Draft and just play out their rookie contract… Five years just plays with whoever drafts him. Jumps right to the Celtics by age 24. We’re waiting for him; we’re gonna have the cap space ready; we got a new owner. Come home, come home, Cooper.”

Flagg has lived up to all the hype during the 2024-25 college basketball season. He has led Duke to the Final Four, which will be played this weekend.

In 36 games played this year, Flagg has averaged 18.9 points, 7.5 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 1.4 steals, and 1.3 blocks per game. He has also shot 48.3% from the floor and 37.4% from the 3-point line.

Being born in Newport, Maine, Flagg would be making a return “home” by ending up in Boston at some point. That alone would have to be intriguing to him

Fans will have another chance to get a look at the Blue Devils’ star on Saturday evening at 8:49 p.m. ET when Flagg and Duke face off against the Houston Cougars in the Final Four.

Mike Krzyzewski Sends Clear Warning Message on Cooper Flagg, Kon Knueppel Ahead of Final Four

Mike Krzyzewski Sends Clear Warning Message on Cooper Flagg, Kon Knueppel Ahead of Final Four

The NCAA Tournament has been dominated by the favorites this year, and for just the second time ever—and the first since 2008—all four No. 1 seeds are set to compete in the Final Four on Saturday.

Ahead of the games, former Duke Blue Devils head coach and college basketball legend Mike Krzyzewski shared his insights on both matchups and all four teams during the latest episode of his Sirius XM podcast, “Basketball & Beyond with Coach K.”

When discussing Duke, Krzyzewski was asked what makes star freshmen Cooper Flagg and Kon Knueppel so unselfish. He didn’t hesitate to praise both players’ key strengths as teammates and their value to the Duke program.

“Their parents,” Krzyzewski said. “They want Cooper and Kon to be coached hard. That doesn’t mean being yelled at all the time, but they want them held accountable. Both of these kids understand accountability and know the importance of showing up every day to work. That comes from their families. To me, in college basketball, those two are as hardworking as any young players out there. They play every play hard, and it’s not about them. They’re unselfish, and Cooper has been amazing with that. You try to recruit great kids and great players, and boy, we hit the jackpot with these two.”

Both Flagg and Knueppel are projected lottery picks in June’s NBA draft, with Flagg emerging as the clear favorite to go No. 1 overall. However, their focus has firmly remained on the present—winning a national championship.

The Blue Devils are now just two wins away from that goal, and it would be their first title since 2015, when Krzyzewski was still at the helm. This also marks head coach Jon Scheyer’s first Final Four appearance since taking over the program in 2022.

Former Blue Devil Coach Mike Krzyzewski Makes Shocking Announcement Ahead of Duke’s Final Four Matchup in NCAA Tournament

The No. 1 seed Duke Blue Devils are back in the Final Four for the first time since Mike Krzyzewski’s final season, marking another significant milestone for the legendary coach, widely regarded as one of the greatest in men’s Division I basketball history.

Krzyzewski led Duke to five national titles, 13 Final Fours, and more than 1,200 career wins over his illustrious tenure. After coaching his last game in 2022, Krzyzewski handed the reins to current head coach Jon Scheyer.

Now, as Scheyer prepares for his first Final Four as Duke’s head coach, Krzyzewski made an announcement that he will be in attendance on Saturday to support his former program.

“I think they’re going to be two totally different games, two great games, and I’m planning on being there to watch them,” Krzyzewski shared. “I’ve tried to stay out of it publicly just to give our program a chance to keep moving in its direction, but I want to be there with [Jon] Scheyer. Look, I want Duke to win… so I want to be there in support of them with my wife, Mickey.”

Duke has consistently been one of the best teams in the country all season long under head coach Jon Scheyer, and now they find themselves just two wins away from the program’s first national championship since 2015.

However, the road to the title won’t come easy. To capture the championship, the Blue Devils will have to defeat two No. 1 seeds. For the first time since 2008—and only the second time ever—all four teams in the Final Four have come from the top seed in their respective regions. It’s set to be a historic and challenging weekend as Duke strives to add another championship to its storied legacy.
