NASCAR Power Rankings : How drivers are ranked after Homestead-Miami

Another Championship 4 spot has been secured! Tyler Reddick clinched his place with a thrilling win at Homestead-Miami Speedway, overtaking Ryan Blaney in the final corner. This victory marks a milestone for 23XI Racing, as it’s the team’s first-ever Championship 4 berth.

With Reddick and Joey Logano already qualified, only two spots remain available, with six playoff drivers still in contention as we head into the last race of the Round of 8.

The Round of 8 wraps up this Sunday at Martinsville Speedway (2 p.m. ET, NBC). Here’s how the drivers are ranked following Homestead-Miami:

1. Christopher Bell
Last week: 1
Bell’s consistent performance continued with a fourth-place finish in Florida. He’s recorded 10 consecutive top-15 finishes, including six top-10s, positioning him well for Martinsville.

2. William Byron
Last week: 3
Byron’s sixth-place finish was his lowest in the past five races. Currently holding the final Championship 4 spot based on points, he’s just seven points ahead of his teammate Kyle Larson and previously won at Martinsville in April.

3. Kyle Larson
Last week: 2
Larson’s day ended in disappointment as he spun out while battling Blaney and finished 13th. With six wins this season, he now faces the risk of not making the title race if he can’t improve at Martinsville.

4. Denny Hamlin
Last week: 4
Hamlin briefly led but was overtaken by Blaney before Reddick surged past. Although he finished third, he missed a crucial opportunity and now trails Byron by 18 points as he fights to keep his season alive.

5. Tyler Reddick
Last week: 7
Reddick’s remarkable last-lap win salvaged what could have been a disappointing season. The regular season champion is now set to compete for his first Cup title in just his fifth season, making this victory especially meaningful.

6. Chase Elliott
Last week: 6
Despite a fifth-place finish, Elliott needs a win to reach the Championship 4. His performance at Homestead-Miami was arguably his best of the year, leading 81 laps and earning 17 stage points, but he lacked the speed to close strong.

7. Ryan Blaney
Last week: 8
Blaney came close to defending his title but ultimately finished second after leaving the outside lane open for Reddick. Like Elliott, he requires a win at Martinsville to stay in the championship hunt, a scenario he successfully navigated last year.

8. Joey Logano
Last week: 5
After winning at Las Vegas, Logano’s team has shifted focus toward the championship race in Phoenix, resulting in a disappointing 28th-place finish at Homestead-Miami. He may face similar challenges at Martinsville but will be a strong contender when it counts.

9. Alex Bowman
Last week: 9
Bowman’s seventh-place finish at Homestead-Miami continues his strong playoff showing. The No. 48 team has stepped up its game in recent weeks, which will be crucial as they look ahead to 2025.

10. Bubba Wallace
Last week: First four out
Wallace started strong but faded to an 18th-place finish. He did manage to lead two laps and finish second in Stage 1, maintaining a solid streak of seven top-20 finishes as the season draws to a close.

First four out: Ross Chastain, Martin Truex Jr., Daniel Suarez, Chris Buescher

In a somber press conference held at the team’s headquarters, Wallace addressed the media, his expression betraying a mixture of sadness and resignation. “I want to thank 23XI Racing for the opportunity to represent them on and off the track,” Wallace began, his voice tinged with emotion. “It’s been an incredible journey, and I’ll always be grateful for the memories we’ve shared together. However, in light of recent developments, I believe it’s in the best interest of both parties to go our separate ways.”

As for Wallace, the road ahead remains uncertain, yet filled with endless possibilities. As the NASCAR community comes to terms with the news of Bubba Wallace’s departure from 23XI Racing, one thing remains abundantly clear: his impact on the sport will endure long after his departure, serving as a testament to the enduring power of perseverance, passion, and the pursuit of excellence.

BREAKING NEWS: NASCAR  Star Bubba Wallace Urges Michael Jordan  for Shock EXIST after………….

NASCAR star Bubba Wallace, who drives for 23XI Racing, a team co-owned by NBA legend Michael Jordan and Denny Hamlin, has found himself in the midst of a series of controversies in recent months. With multiple penalties and on-track incidents drawing widespread attention, Wallace has publicly urged Jordan and the team to consider his future with the organization—fueled by frustration and disappointment over a series of decisions that have impacted his performance and reputation.

The 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season has been a turbulent one for Wallace, who has often been at the center of on-track altercations and incidents with fellow drivers. A few key races have seen Wallace involved in aggressive confrontations, including wrecking rival drivers and drawing penalties for contact that some saw as intentional. With each incident, penalties were issued, ranging from points deductions to financial fines, and, in some cases, race suspensions.

Wallace’s high-profile clashes have drawn the ire of some NASCAR fans and competitors, with critics accusing him of using overly aggressive tactics or, at times, engaging in unsportsmanlike conduct. These controversial actions have drawn a spotlight on 23XI Racing and the leadership of Michael Jordan, who is often scrutinized for his role as team owner. As a public figure with a reputation for excellence both in basketball and business, Jordan’s involvement in the team has added a layer of scrutiny to the growing tensions surrounding Wallace.

For Wallace, the mounting penalties have led him to question whether his position at 23XI Racing remains tenable. In a series of candid interviews, Wallace admitted that he has struggled to find the balance between competitive aggression and maintaining a clean racing record. The penalties, he said, have taken a mental and emotional toll on him, and he is considering whether it’s time for a change in his NASCAR career.

“I’m frustrated,” Wallace said in an emotional interview. “I’m trying to race hard, trying to compete at the highest level, but sometimes it feels like I’m the only one getting called out for it. I respect Michael Jordan as a leader, and I know the team has supported me, but at some point, I’ve got to look out for myself too. If things don’t change, maybe it’s time to reassess whether this is still the right fit for me.”

Wallace has been a trailblazer in the sport, not just for his talent but also for being the first African American full-time Cup Series driver since the 1970s. He’s often been seen as a representative of diversity and change in a traditionally conservative and predominantly white sport. That added attention means that his every move—whether on the track or off it—is scrutinized by fans, media, and competitors alike.

Despite the setbacks, Wallace has expressed gratitude toward Jordan for his unwavering support. Michael Jordan has largely remained a steady hand in the face of the challenges Wallace has faced, offering guidance and encouragement. However, with Wallace’s recent frustrations, the next steps for the team and driver remain uncertain.

The key question now is whether Wallace and Jordan can reconcile their differing visions for success moving forward, or if Wallace will seek a fresh start with another team. For now, Wallace continues to push through the season, hoping for a breakthrough that could help him regain both his confidence and his place among NASCAR’s elite drivers.

Denny Hamlin has been suspended due to an unfortunate violation of NASCAR regulations, resulting in shock and disappointment among racing fans and the community at large. The announcement came amidst the racing season, leaving many wondering about the circumstances and consequences of this unexpected development.

In an emotional revelation, basketball legend Michael Jordan has opened up about a challenging moment in his venture into NASCAR with 23XI Racing, particularly following the personal loss of his close friend and partner, Denny Hamlin. The conversation, which took place during a recent interview, highlighted the profound impact of their friendship on both Jordan’s .

In a shocking turn of events, Kyle Busch, one of NASCAR’s most accomplished and revered drivers, has announced his unexpected departure from the sport. The news, which has sent ripples through the racing community, marks the end of an era for NASCAR fans and the sport as a whole. Kyle Busch, a two-time NASCAR Cup.
