BREAKING NEWS: The owner of New Orleans Saint Gayle Benson is still in great shock with the message that the former Orleans saint head coach Sean Payton sent to him
After receiving an unexpected communication from former Saints head coach Sean Payton, Gayle Benson, the owner of the New Orleans Saints, is reportedly in astonishment. Although the message’s precise contents are unknown, many close to the organization speculate that it might have included startling disclosures, strong thoughts about the team’s present course, or even a sincere reflection on his time with the franchise.
In New Orleans, Payton, who guided the Saints to their sole Super Bowl triumph in 2010, is still revered. Although an era came to an end with his departure in 2022, his connections to the franchise have never wavered. But Benson seems taken aback by this most recent contact, which begs the question of what it is.
Both supporters and experts are anxiously expecting more information, with some conjecturing that Payton might have given counsel, voiced worries, or even alluded to a possible future role with the organization. Neither Payton nor Benson have released an official statement as of yet.
As additional details about this surprising conversation between two of the most significant people in Saints history become available, stay tuned.

BREAKING; Saints Projected $70 Million Star ‘Open’ To New Orleans Return
The New Orleans Saints have some key pieces heading to free agency this offseason but could the team bring some internal options back for the 2025 campaign?
New Orleans has a handful of players heading to free agency including 25-year-old defensive end Chase Young. He’s projected to land a four-year deal worth over $70 million by Spotrac. New Orleans is in a tough spot cap-wise right now, but it surely will restructure deals this offseason.
It’s unclear if Young will be back, but he was pretty great for the Saints this year. He had 5.5 sacks and is just 25 years old. It would be nice to have him back and ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reported he is “open” to a return.
“Young notched 5.5 sacks with the Saints, and his 46 pressures tied for the 11th most in the league,” ESPN’s Matt Bowen said. “The No. 2 pick in the 2020 draft is still in his prime years and can add depth to a defensive line room.
“Fowler’s latest: Young is open to a return to New Orleans, where he just played out a one-year deal — though a different defense could generate more sack opportunities for him,” Fowler said. “He might opt for stability over last year’s prove-it-deal status coming off a serious neck injury.”
Young has all of the talent in the world and has been healthy for two straight years after injury-riddled 2021 and 2022 campaigns. It would be nice to have him back if the Saints could make the money work.

A Perfect Replacement for Mickey Loomis: Saints Make Great Moves to Replace Their General Manager Following a Shocking Announcement from Owner Gayle Benson, Leaving Fans Surprised and Optimistic for the Future
The New Orleans Saints shocked the NFL world recently when team owner Gayle Benson announced the departure of long-time general manager Mickey Loomis. For years, Loomis had been the mastermind behind the Saints’ front office, orchestrating the team’s draft selections, trades, and salary cap management. His exit left fans, analysts, and players alike scrambling to figure out what comes next for the franchise. Yet, the Saints’ response has been nothing short of impressive, making swift and strategic moves to ensure the team remains competitive moving forward.
In a surprising yet well-calculated decision, the Saints quickly appointed a new general manager who brings a fresh perspective and a wealth of experience. This new leader is widely regarded for their acumen in player development and cap space management—key areas the Saints will need to navigate with looming roster decisions. By promoting from within, the team was able to preserve continuity while introducing new leadership.
The team also demonstrated decisiveness in retaining key personnel to complement the front office change. Recognizing the importance of stability, the Saints opted to maintain their strong coaching staff and focus on reinforcing the roster with young talent and experienced veterans. This dual approach of promoting internal candidates while seeking outside expertise ensures the team won’t miss a beat in their pursuit of the NFC South title.
Fans, though initially stunned by the news, are already beginning to feel optimistic about the future. The decision to make bold moves and plan for both the short-term and long-term speaks to a clear vision from the organization. With a new general manager at the helm, the Saints appear poised for success, continuing their legacy of resilience and adaptability in the face of uncertainty.

BREAKING: Derek Carr set to Depart New Orleans Saint following Interest from suitors on the open market

BREAKING: Derek Carr set to Depart New Orleans Saint following Interest from suitors on the open market
Derek Carr future with the New Orleans Saints is up in the air and should be decided soon. He isn’t willing to take a pay cut and there’s a good chance he would opt to not waive his no-trade clause unless a great situation arises.
The problem is if it’s clear the New Orleans Saints are going to get rid of Carr regardless, teams may be reluctant to trade for Carr. The Saints were in the same situation two years ago when Carr left the Las Vegas Raiders.
However, do not expect a reluctant trade market to translate to a reluctant market if Carr becomes a free agent.
NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reported he “would expect interest from multiple teams out there,” if Carr hits the open market.
Saints fans may be completely out on Carr, but he is deserving of pursuit. Additionally, like Garafolo said, “there’s not a lot of great options both in free agency and the draft.”
If Carr leaves New Orleans, it’ll be interesting to see what type of situation he lands in.
Would he land in a situation like Russell Wilson in Pittsburgh, with a team looking for a quarterback to raise their ceiling? Could a team who drafts a quarterback but doesn’t want him to start immediately look to Carr to start in the interim? With the less than favorable state of the the 2025 quarterback class, teams will look for a veteran to simply get them through next season.
There are multiple options for Carr, but his days of being viewed as a long-term answer are likely over as he turns 34 before the season starts this fall.

DISAPPOINTED: Derek Carr Criticised heavily by Saints fans for his Unexpected action during Super Bowl week despite the Saints not even playing

DISAPPOINTED: Derek Carr Criticised heavily by Saints fans for his Unexpected action during Super Bowl week despite the Saints not even playing
The New Orleans Saints’ season ended after Week 18. With a 5-12 record, they were no where near the postseason. However, with Super Bowl 59 being held in New Orleans, at the home stadium of the Saints, the team was somewhat relevant throughout Super Bowl week. As the host city, players and front office members were out and about all week.
One person that was noticeably absent was starting quarterback Derek Carr. Carr is coming off year two with the Saints, and it hasn’t been a particularly great run so far. With his presence not mandatory for the week’s festivities, he decided to skip out on them. That decision by him drew a lot of criticism from Saints fans.
As guys like Alvin Kamara, Cam Jordan, Tyrann Mathieu, Chris Olave, Rashid Shaheed, and many more— even former Saints quarterback Jameis Winston —represented the team and city, some fans argued that Carr’s absence spoke volumes.
“Kind of crazy to see everyone from Drew Brees and Reggie Bush to Mark Ingram, Bryan Bresee, and Blake Grupe doing more to promote New Orleans during Super Bowl week than Derek Carr. Jameis Winston too. He must’ve been in a hurry to get back home to Fresno.”
Derek Carr’s absence from Super Bowl week leads to criticism from Saints fans
It became a frequently discussed topic on social media in the days leading up to the Super Bowl, because current and former New Orleans players were out and about. Both young quarterbacks on the roster, Jake Haener and Spencer Rattler, were also a part of that group. With Carr being the starter, and the presumed leader, his presence would’ve been welcomed.
However, he was nowhere to be seen, and some fans think that’s because his time in New Orleans is coming to an end. He and the franchise are definitely at a crossroads, and the team must decide if they want to carry him and his expensive contract into this new era. With Kellen Moore likely being hired as the next coach, he’ll certainly have a large say in the decision since he is an offensive-minded coach.
Whatever it is the team decides, fans have made their opinion on Derek Carr known, so it’s safe to assume the outcome most Saints fans are hoping for.
