CONGRATULATIONS: Former Raiders QB and two-time Super Bowl champion Jim Plunkett has been inducted into the Hall of Fame after……

Former Raiders QB and two-time Super Bowl champion Jim Plunkett has been inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. This long-awaited decision was made to honor his remarkable career, leadership, and lasting impact on the NFL.

Plunkett, who played the majority of his career with the Oakland Raiders, achieved a level of success that many quarterbacks only dream of. He was drafted first overall in the 1971 NFL Draft by the New England Patriots, but it was with the Raiders that he truly flourished. Despite facing challenges early in his career, including a series of injuries and inconsistent play, Plunkett’s resilience and perseverance led him to greatness.

Plunkett’s crowning achievements came in the form of two Super Bowl victories. In 1980, he led the Raiders to a dominant win over the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl XV, where he was named Super Bowl MVP. Four years later, in 1983, Plunkett again guided the Raiders to another championship, this time defeating the Washington Redskins in Super Bowl XVIII. His ability to perform on the biggest stage set him apart from many of his contemporaries and solidified his place in NFL history.

Despite being often overlooked by Hall of Fame voters throughout his career, Plunkett’s induction is a testament to the respect he earned from his peers and the impact he had on the game. Throughout his career, he accumulated over 25,000 passing yards, with 164 touchdowns and a career that spanned 16 seasons. Plunkett’s leadership, both on and off the field, helped define an era of Raiders football that is still remembered fondly by fans.

Jim Plunkett’s induction into the Hall of Fame is not just a personal achievement but a celebration of his undeniable legacy in the NFL. His story serves as an inspiration to players, proving that determination and grit can lead to greatness, no matter the obstacles.

BREAKING: Raiders Star DE Maxx Crosby to Undergo Ankle Surgery following……

The surgery is expected to end his season, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Las Vegas Raiders star pass rusher Maxx Crosby is expected to undergo arthroscopic ankle surgery that is expected to end his season, according to a report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Crosby initially injured his ankle in Week 2 against the Baltimore Ravens but has been playing through the ailment throughout much of the season. Prior to this season, Crosby had not missed a single game in his five prior years as a pro. In 12 games this year, he has recorded 45 combined tackles, 17 tackles for loss and 7.5 sacks.

Crosby is scheduled to have the ankle procedure on Monday, and may need a second surgery depending on the results of the first. Doctors are under the impression that Crosby’s injury could be worse than originally thought.

The Raiders are 2-11 this season, and have already been eliminated from postseason contention.

Raiders will be the Likeliest Destinations for Free Agent crop QB to replace Aidan O’Connell

The Las Vegas Raiders organization doesn’t appear to have any abiding affection for either Gardner Minshew or Aidan O’Connell, as both quarterbacks had their chances as the starter this season and both fell relatively flat.

Las Vegas is 2-11, tied with the New York Giants for the worst record in the NFL, and the draft is roughly four and a half months away. Colorado Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders is the expected prize for whatever team ends up picking No. 1 overall, but if that doesn’t end up being the Raiders, then the franchise can pivot in the direction of free agency.

Kristopher Knox of Bleacher Report on Wednesday, Dec. 11, dubbed Las Vegas among the top/most likely destinations for Minnesota Vikings quarterback Sam Darnold, who will probably enter March as the cream of the free-agent crop at the game’s most important position.

“Unlike Pittsburgh, the Las Vegas Raiders don’t have a clear-cut starter worth retaining,” Knox wrote. “The Raiders have $112.1 million in projected 2025 cap space and could make a serious push for Darnold if they so choose. They could also provide him with a pair of quality pass-catchers in Jakobi Meyers and Brock Bowers.”

Darnold has thrown for nearly 3,300 yards, 28 TDs and 10 INTs in what has been, by far, the best campaign of his seven-year career through 14 games played. The quarterback was in the early MVP conversation through the first month of the season, and though he took a couple of steps backward in the following weeks, his 5-touchdown performance over the Atlanta Falcons last Sunday has elevated him back into the discussion.

Darnold had the sixth-best odds to win the MVP Award as of Tuesday, according to Draftkings Sportsbook, residing behind four other quarterbacks and running back Saquon Barkley of the Philadelphia Eagles.

BREAKING: More Troubles as Raiders Star player Arrested For DUI following…..

Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Charles Snowden faces a first-offense misdemeanor charge.

Some troubling news for the Las Vegas Raiders occurred on Tuesday.

Per KLAS 8 News Now, Defensive end Charles Snowden was arrested and according to Nevada Justice Court records, he has been hit with a first-offense misdemeanor “DUI of alchohol and/or controlled or prohibited substance.”

Per reports, Snowden was not required for a court appearance post-arrest or bond, and he did not have a probable cause hearing or a scheduled arraignment.

Per Paul Gutierrez of ESPN, “a status check was scheduled for April, though no attorney was listed to represent Snowden in the court record.”

A statement from the Raiders:

“The Raiders are aware of the incident involving Charles Snowden and have been in contact with the NFL and local authorities. The club will not comment further as this is a legal matter.”

The 6-foot-7, 245-pound defensive end was an undrafted free agent in 2021 out of Virginia before appearing in two games for the Chicago Bears. He was nabbed by the Raiders and had an inspiring preseason slate in 2024.

Injuries on the defensive side of the ball allowed Snowden an opportunity to appear in 13 games with the Silver and Black. He also made seven starts with the Raiders. In those starts, Snowden registered 30 total tackles, 13 of them solo, with three tackles for loss. He also tallied 1.5 sacks, six quarterback hits, and three passes defended.

The Raiders will play the Atlanta Falcons on Monday Night Football this week. Snowden was listed as a starting defensive end on the unofficial depth chart.
