I will play for United but..’ – Man United set for second summer signing as Declan Rice agrees terms for Man United move with shock summer transfer admission

Declan Rice agrees terms over West Ham United transfer, cash plus players deal on the cards.

Declan Rice has agreed terms over his West Ham exit with multiple clubs ahead of official bids arriving at the London Stadium, Football Transfers reports.

The same outlet had previously reported that the Hammers captain had an agreement in place with Arsenal for a contract should he move to the Emirates, but it now appears that he has done so with other suitors as well.

However, there is as-yet no agreement between West Ham and any of the interested parties on a fee for the 24-year-old to leave, with 90min reporting bids expected to arrive immediately after the Europa Conference League final on Wednesday night (7 June).

Additionally, Football Transfers reports: “It is thought that they don’t actually need as much money as they are asking for in the Rice negotiations – they are financially in a very good place due to an influx of cash paid into the club that was owed to them, as well as investment from their owners.”

Either Rice isn’t asking a huge amount from the clubs who want him, or they all value him so highly that they are prepared to offer plenty right off the bat if his agent has managed to get terms in place for multiple different options before the season is over.

The final against Fiorentina is sure to be upper-most in the England star’s mind, and no decision can truly be made until there is an agreement with West Ham as a club.

But it doesn’t look like there has been any difficulty on the player’s side of matters, and by the sounds of things the option to include players in the deal may improve clubs’ chances of reaching the asking price.

Who would be offered in a swap is obviously what matters most, and assuming David Moyes is going to be the man to continue leading the Hammers next season, pending developments at Celtic and elsewhere over the summer, he will have to give the green light for it to be a viable option.

If West Ham are ready to back the Scot for the foreseeable future then it would save him the job of chasing some incoming signings if he can get them included in a deal.

Either way it looks positive from a Hammers perspective for getting good value out of the move, especially with Rice supposedly keen to ensure they do.

How much a club “need” from a deal is a moveable feast but the constant in pretty much every transfer is that the desired amount is simply as much as possible.
