THE TRUTH REVEALED: Saints HC Kellen Moore sends Shocking message and Opens Up After Derek Carr Decision states that he never thought……..

There was a lot of chatter about Derek Carr’s status with the New Orleans Saints but it sounds like head coach Kellen Moore was comfortable with him all along.

With Carr having a large cap number, that led to a lot of talk about his future. It wasn’t until the National Football League scouting combine that Saints general manager Mickey Loomis made it clear to the media that Carr was going to be with the team for the 2025 season.

Carr has been really good when he’s been healthy and the two sides restructured his deal and are running it back for the 2025 season. Head coach Kellen Moore addressed the news and said he was “really comfortable” with Carr as the team’s quarterback, as transcribed by Mattew Paras of The Times-Picayune and The Advocate.

“Certainly you take this job with the intentions of some of the top players being here and we felt really comfortable with him,” Moore said as transcribed by Paras. “Obviously any time you go through these things, it’s great to connect first as people and build those relationships and go from there. And so I’m really, really excited to work with him.”

Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football also shared that Moore took the Saints job with the understanding that Carr would be with the team in 2025.

“Kellen Moore said he took this job with the idea that Derek Carr would be his QB.” Underhill wrote.

There was certainly a lot of chatter, but it sounds like the team was comfortable with Carr from the beginning.

HORRIBLE NEWS: Gayle Benson and New Orleans Saints receive the Scarry news they didn’t want to hear at the start of NFL free agency

The New Orleans Saints will have some notable additions and subtractions during free agency this week. Their largest departure domino may have just fallen.

Paulson Adebo leaves the Saints

Adebo is headed to the New York Giants, according to Dianna Russini. The contract with New York that he has agreed to is a three-year deal.

I’m told Paulson Adebo’s three-year deal with the Giants is worth $54 million. Not $30 million. — Nick Underhill

Cornerback was a need, even if Adebo returned to New Orleans. Now, the Saints desperately need even more help in the secondary. Keep in mind that former Pro Bowl CB Marshon Lattimore is not in the fold, either. The Saints traded him to the Washington Commanders at last year’s trade deadline.

Alontae Taylor is a good, versatile cornerback, but the experience behind him is limited. As of now, Kool-Aid McKinstry, a second-year player, will be in the starting lineup outside for the Saints.

With Adebo off the board, the Saints must shift their focus to some other options on the CB market. Not to mention, they could target a cornerback early in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Adebo’s play had improved over the past couple of seasons, but his 2024 campaign ended early because of a broken fibula. There is some risk involved with this addition by New York, but the value is clearly solid.

Last year, Adebo allowed a 67.0 passer rating when targeted, which was impressive and a career low. He had seven pass breakups and three interceptions. Notably, he generated two pressures as a blitzer and had a 91.5 pass rush grade according to PFF.

According to Adebo himself, he expects to be ready to go by training camp. The cornerback played only seven games in 2024, but that’s a freaky injury, more than a lingering issue. It was the first season of his career in which he played fewer than 13 games. Even so, a short-term deal may make the most sense as he tries to prove he can return at full strength. — A to Z Sports

Regardless, the former Saints draft pick gets a fresh start, fresh off a major injury with the Giants.

SMART MOVE: New Orleans Saints smartly prevent another NFL team from stealing one of their top free agents

The New Orleans Saints won’t let a salary cap get in their way. They’re bringing back a key piece to their defense from last season.

Saints re-sign Chase Young to extension

According to Ian Rapoport, the Saints have agreed to terms with pass rusher Chase Young on a three-year, $51 million deal worth up to $57 million.

Young, while limited in sack production, was constantly getting after the quarterback for the Saints last season. He ranked in the top ten in the NFL in QB pressures. With other upgrades on the DL, his sack numbers should rise in 2025.

The pass rusher played on a prove-it type of deal last year for the Saints. It paid off for him and the team, considering this long-term agreement.

Young signed a one-year deal with the Saints worth up to $13 million during the 2024 free agency period. Young’s contract had about $8 million tied up in per-game roster bonuses due to an offseason neck procedure he had last spring. — ESPN

Takes him away from the rest of the NFL

Simply put, losing Young would have been quite rough on New Orleans’ defense. Their defensive line had their fair share of struggles last season, but Young was one of the bright spots.

As for the rest of the NFL, the pass rush class in free agency just took a massive hit. With Josh Sweat off the board, some folks believed that Young was the edge with the most upside remaining available.

Via NBC Sports, Young was ranked as the 45th overall free agent entering this period. A handful of guys ahead of him re-signed with their former team before Monday. That ranking may have even been a tad low for the edge rusher as well.

Young has started 32 games in five seasons in the pros. He’s totaled 22 career sacks, amid some injury-filled campaigns at the NFL level. Hopefully, he can stay healthy ands productive for the Saints during this expected deal.

BREAKING NEWS: New Orleans Saints Owner Gayle Benson in Shock After Receiving a Shocking Message from the NFL Community, Sending Waves Through…

Gayle Benson sat in her office overlooking the New Orleans skyline, the familiar hum of the city’s energy buzzing in the background. It had been an ordinary Tuesday morning—until her phone screen lit up with a notification that made her heart skip a beat.

The message was cryptic, urgent. It had come from an anonymous source within the NFL community. The subject line read: “You need to see this—before it’s too late.

Curious yet wary, Gayle hesitated before opening the attachment. As she did, her breath caught in her throat. It was a confidential report detailing a potential scandal brewing behind the scenes—one that could shake the very foundation of the New Orleans Saints.

The document alleged that high-ranking officials in the league had been conspiring to block a major trade that would have positioned the Saints as Super Bowl contenders. The orchestrated interference, if proven true, would expose deep-seated corruption within the NFL’s leadership. But what made Gayle’s blood run cold was the final line in the message:

“They’re coming for you next.”

She placed the phone down, her hands trembling. Who was behind this? And why was she being warned?

Just then, a knock at her office door startled her. Dennis Lauscha, the Saints’ team president, stepped in, his face pale.

“Gayle, we have a problem,” he said, his voice low.

She gestured for him to continue, still trying to process the message.

“The media just caught wind of something big,” Dennis said. “Rumors are swirling that certain owners and league executives have been manipulating trade deals behind closed doors. And—” he hesitated, “your name is being mentioned.”

Gayle’s pulse pounded in her ears. This wasn’t just about the Saints anymore. It was about the integrity of the entire league.

She exhaled slowly, steeling herself. “We’re not going to sit back and let this happen,” she said firmly.

As the weight of the revelation settled over her, she realized that this was more than just a shocking message. It was a call to action.

And Gayle Benson wasn’t one to back down.

Saints Target Ashton Jeanty Draws Comparison To New Orleans Saints Star Alvin Kamara even Better

Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty is one of the top prospects in the 2025 NFL Draft class and the near-universal pick to be the first running back chosen in April’s event.

During his college days, Jeanty drew plenty of comparisons to Oklahoma State legend Barry Sanders. That comparison is understandable, considering Jeanty was only 27 yards shy of tying Sanders’ single-season FBS rushing record of 2628 yards.

However, now that Jeanty is on the verge of beginning his pro career, the former Bronco is also being compared to current New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara. Kamara is of similar stature to Jeanty at 5’10” and 215 pounds, and boasts a similar running style. The ninth-year pro is also a former NFL Rookie of the Year and a five-time Pro Bowl selection.

ESPN’s Matt Miller made the direct comparison between Jeanty and Kamara in an article updated on Sunday, along with current player comparisons for the other 2025 prospects he considers to be “true” first round prospects.

“The 5-foot-9, 211-pound Jeanty is a punishing runner with patience, vision and runaway speed, and he can also catch passes out of the backfield and stand up to pass rushers while in pass protection. The Heisman runner-up is a rare, true blue-chip running back prospect.” — Matt Miller, ESPN

Jeanty skipped on-field testing at the NFL Combine, but it hasn’t affected expectations or recent Mock Drafts, some of which have him listed as a top-six selection. That would make Jeanty the earliest NFL Draft selection in Boise State football history.

The 2025 NFL Draft begins Thursday, April 24 in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

Saints HC Kellen Moore makes Shocking Roster decisions for New Orleans after delivering shocking $30.9M news to Derek Carr and fans

Embracing a New Direction

Kellen Moore has stepped into the New Orleans environment with a fresh perspective. Rather than diving headfirst into revamped offensive tactics or retooling the quarterback play, his initial focus centers on fortifying the team’s core fundamentals. Moore’s vision for the team is built on the principles of intelligence, agility, and physical prowess, underscoring his commitment to developing a balanced and resilient squad.

Prioritizing the Details

Instead of immediately reshuffling the spotlight onto marquee players or generating spectacular, deep-play strategies, Moore is taking a more grounded approach. The decision to address the internal dynamics within the trenches demonstrates a clear intention to build from the inside out. Strengthening these underlying structures is seen as essential for supporting any future offensive innovations and ensuring overall stability on the field.

Strategic Roster Adjustments

Recent moves, including a significant $30.9 million decision involving the quarterback role, have drawn significant attention. However, Moore’s strategy goes beyond headline-grabbing transactions. His adjustments are part of a broader initiative aimed at crafting a team that embodies efficiency and resilience. By carefully evaluating each roster decision, he is laying the groundwork for a unit that can compete consistently through both intelligent play-calling and uncompromising physicality.

Looking Toward a Cohesive Future

Moore’s approach reflects a deep understanding that long-term success relies on a team that operates with synchronicity across all levels. Establishing a culture that prioritizes smart decisions, quick responses, and robust physical performances not only enhances team dynamics but also sets a foundation for innovation in gameplay. This methodical focus on internal cohesion signals a commitment to sustainable excellence, with every roster move contributing to a larger strategic vision.
