A compilation of Kobbie Mainoo’s full Premier League debut for Manchester United against Everton has gone viral.
The Man United starlet was handed a spot in the starting XI by Erik ten Hag for the first time since making his debut last season.
He played alongside Scott McTominay in central midfield as the Red Devils ran out 3-0 winners.
Alejandro Garnacho opened the scoring with an outrageous overhead kick. Marcus Rashford doubled his side’s lead after Bruno Fernandes gave up the penalty responsibility. Anthony Martial added a third.
Mainoo didn’t get on the score-sheet but critics and fans alike raved about his showing in the middle of the park.
The 18-year-old cut a mature and composed figure in midfield as he enjoyed a stunning full league debut.
He won all his tackles and completed the game with a 83 per cent pass accuracy. He completed 34 of his 41 attempted passes and had 57 touches of the ball.
He also made a vital goal-line clearance as he showed off his defensive attributes.
Gleeful fans online loved Mainoo’s outing as they made their feelings known.
One X user wrote: “Such a mature and composed performance from a player so young in age, but amongst the elite in terms of ability and talent. I’ve never been so sure of a player making it here. Perfect Premier League debut.”
A second tweeted: “One of the best debuts I’ve ever seen from an 18 year old.”
A third added: “This Kobbie Mainoo performance was absolutely generational.”
A fourth said: “Top class, he’s too composed for an 18 year old in a big fixture the academy coaches are cooking.”
Another commented: “Absolutely Class, one of the best youngsters in the world!”
Speaking on commentary, Gary Neville also praised the youngster.
“It’s the 18-year-old with the red shirt that looks the most experienced out there,” he said.
“I think Mainoo has been the best player for United by a mile.”
Mainoo will be hoping to keep his place in the team when his side resume their Champions League campaign against Galatasaray next Wednesday.
What’s your take on the youngster performance?

Video: Moment of magic from Martin Odegaard leads to Arsenal opener
Arsenal have opened the scoring in their huge Champions League match with FC Porto as the Gunners level the tie at 1-1.
Mikel Arteta’s team needed to score first having been 1-0 down from the first leg and a second would have made life very difficult for the North London club to progress.
That came just before halftime when some beautiful footwork from Martin Odegaard led to the Norweigan playing in Leandro Trossard.
The Belgian star remained composed and finished clinically as Arsenal will now turn up the heat in search of a second.

Manchester City have a taken the lead at Anfield from a brilliantly rehearsed corner.
Kevin de Bruyne whips in a low cross from the corner towards the front post, where Nathan Ake cleverly blocked Alexis Mac Allister to allow Stones to sneak into the six-yard box and slot it past Kelleher.
This early strike from the champions deals a significant blow to Liverpool, who will now have to come back from behind to grab anything from this match.
